Candela
Candela was formed back in 1999 by guitarist/luthier Paul Aguilera and has developed into an original and innovative world music group. Since its beginnings the band has had various lineups including the bass player Franc O'Shea and violinist Ben Sarfas.

The group has now developed into a seven piece including Attab Haddad on virtuoso Oud and BBC young folk musician finalist Phliippe Barnes on flute, with the growling voice of Fernando Pellon. On percussion the band has been joined by Gen Wilkins with ex Soul II Soul and present day Gong drummer Chris Taylor.

The band has played at WOMAD, in the world famous Spiegeltent, at the Barbican supporting Tomatito and at many other venues and festivals around the country.
